All About Kids Pediatric Dentist – Offices in Danbury, Norwalk and Stamford CT.

The Bilingual (Spanish) Patient Administrator plays a key role within the office dynamics and practice. The Patient Administrators are the face of the practice and are expected to greet each and every patient and/or potential patient with a warm welcoming. Reporting directly to the Patient Administrator Supervisor, they will perform a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties including: chart management, scheduling and confirming appointments, coordination of insurance benefits, collections/billing, data entry, as well as other duties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in/out patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Prepare and maintain patient charts and office records
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits
  • Insurance and Patient billing with follow up
  • Collect and accurately record patient payments
  • Address patient inquiries
  • Efficiently schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Handle a multi-line inbound phone call system
  • Communicate with all Dentists, Dental Hygienists as well as other clinical staff

Job Requirements

  • Speaks Spanish and English fluently
  • Availability to work on Saturday
  • High School Diploma or equivalency degree; CPR Certification is helpful.
  • 2 – 3 years of experience as a receptionist or office assistant (preferably in a pediatric dental or pediatrician’s office)
  • Dentrix, Eagle Soft and Planet DDS software experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

  • Set up and prepare dental equipment and instruments before patients arrive.
  • Review charts and daily schedule.
  • Perform patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, head and neck inspection, dental charting.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) and intraoral pictures as needed.
  • Remove calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth.
  • Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides).
  • Demonstrate patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and mouth rinse).
  • Explain the relationship between healthy diet, good nutrition and oral health.
  • Clean and set up dental chair for the next patient.
  • Review documentation and charting and the end of the day.
  • Stock dental hygiene materials and supplies.
  • Clean and restock the room for next day.
  • Hygienist will work as a member of the dental "team" helping assistants when there is dead time.
  • Report directly to the Dental Hygienist Supervisor.

  • Licensed in the State of Connecticut.
  • Current CPR.
