Dr. Helene Strazza
When Dr. Helene Strazza was 14, her orthodontist found an extra adult tooth in her mouth that needed to be extracted by the oral surgeon. It was then that Dr. Helene understood how "Cool" dentistry can be! She later went on to study pre-dental, psychology and child development in college (SUNY Geneseo) where she enjoyed being involved in a major research project dealing with sibling and peer relationships in young children.
Dr. Strazza next attended Temple Dental School and later joined the United States Navy as a general dentist for five years. She earned the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) and had the privilege of caring for the members of our Armed Services along with their children. Afterwards, she completed her Pediatric Dental Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and earned the title of Chief Resident. She later worked as a part time Attending, teaching pediatric dental residents. She continues to lecture throughout the country on "Kid Kulture," and practice management to dentists and pediatric dental residents.
Pediatric dentistry is the perfect fit for Dr. Strazza as it combines her kid at heart personality with her passion for dentistry, psychology and working with children. She is extremely committed to providing a kid friendly, fun, inviting environment, where children and their parents can enjoy coming to receive quality dental care.
Dr. Strazza is the founder, Chief Dentist and designer of All About Kids. When she is not working on continuing to make AAK a great place, she can often be found spending quality time with her family and friends, enjoying water sports, outreach and volunteering. She is also currently working on her new children's book about the adventures of our AAK mascots Chomps and Don Franko!
Dr. You-Na Kim
Dr. You-Na Kim grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and attended Simon Fraser University where she graduated with Honors degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. She completed her dental education at New York University College of Dentistry graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and then pursued her specialty training at NYU earning a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Kim is a Board Certified pediatric dentist who found her passion in Pediatric Dentistry while she was treating children in Oaxaca, Mexico on her dental mission trips. She provided free dental care in the local underserved community and implemented educational programs to local schools. She has also visited elementary and middle schools in Hudson, New York and Machias, Maine to provide definitive dental care to an underserved population. It is Dr. Kim’s goal to provide the highest quality of dental care to every child in a personable and compassionate manner as if he/she is her own child. She finds it extremely fulfilling to transform children’s perceptions and experiences in dentistry into positive and pleasant ones.
Dr. Kim is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). She is currently an active member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Dental Association.
During her free time, Dr. Kim enjoys cooking, working out, swimming, traveling, and going to concerts.
Dr. Juwon Park
Dr. Park was born and raised in Vancouver Canada. He graduated from University of British Columbia in his hometown in 2008 and moved to Long island NY to start his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Stony Brook University.
Dr.Park focuses on prevention of oral disease as a priority. He attends CE courses nation wide to keep updated to current advancements in dentistry. Dr. Park strives to provide all his patients with high standard of care.
When Dr.Park is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys indoor rockclimbing and volleyball in his spare time.
Dr. Ashleigh Sebro
Dr. Sebro – or Dr. Ashleigh as her patients call her – grew up in Toronto, Ontario. Based on her own great experiences at the dental office, Dr. Ashleigh has known that she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry since age 5.
In 2013, Dr. Ashleigh graduated cum laude from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery. During her time at SUNY Buffalo Dr. Ashleigh was a leader in her class with regards to her involvement in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Ashleigh also took great pleasure in participating in international mission trips to bring care to underserved populations in the Dominican Republic. As a founding member of SUNY Buffalo’s Pediatric Education and Dental Outreach club she was able to organize large-scale charity dentistry events that resulted in over $18,000 of donated dental work to the children of Western New York and that still continues to this day.
Dr. Ashleigh continued her interest in treating children with an advanced education in pediatric dentistry during her residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. During this time she was able to see countless children with a wide variety of both dental and medical concerns and acquire the knowledge and skill to address their needs.
Dr. Ashleigh is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is also a Board-Eligible member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is both CPR and PALS certified and stays up to date with current research and treatment modalities to best serve your child. During her free time she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants with her fiancé and playing with her dog Phoebe.
Dr. Roger Castro
Dr. Roger Castro is a board-certified member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He graduated from University of Maryland at College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Castro went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland. Upon graduation, he moved to New York City to do a two year General Practice Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center before returning to Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center to pursue a postdoctoral program in pediatric dentistry where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Castro is a member of many organizations such as the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Away from the office, Roger enjoys skiing, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Dr. Martin R. Boorin
Martin R. Boorin, DMD is an experienced, residency-trained dentist anesthesiologist who has been in practice for over 23 years. He is a graduate from the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine and subsequently completed a one year general practice dental residency followed by a two year residency in dental anesthesiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New Hyde Park, NY. Dr. Boorin is a diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Boorin is currently a clinical assistant professor in the departments of Hospital Dentistry and Dental Anesthesiology of the SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Stony Brook, NY and is jointly appointed in the department of Anesthesiology, Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook, NY. He provides didactic instruction and clinical supervision to dental anesthesiology, pediatric dental, and general practice residents, as well as dental students. Dr. Boorin has been an active participant and educator in the recently developed and accredited dental anesthesiology resident training program at SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook, NY. Dr. Boorin is active in and has lectured before numerous professional organizations, both regionally and nationally.
Dr. Fred Kim
Dr. Fred Kim grew up in sunny Cerritos, CA, and graduated from La Sierra University with a BS in Biology. Dr. Fred went on and received his DMD degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, AZ. While attending dental school he received the AAPD Predoctoral Student Award for outstanding promise in the field of pediatric dentistry. Upon graduation, he moved cross country for specialty training in pediatric dentistry at NYU Lutheran in Holyoke, MA where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Fred is as member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. On his free time, Fred enjoys spending time with family, traveling, listening to music and most of all finding good places to eat.
Dr. Danielle Lombardi
Dr. Danielle Lombardi was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She earned her BA with honors in Biology and Psychology from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY.
Dr. Lombardi was granted the Dean’s Merit Scholarship at New York University College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Through her volunteer activities and patient interactions during dental school, she realized what she had always known, that she loves working with children!
Dr. Lombardi continued her education by completing a combined academic and hospital based residency in Pediatric Dentistry at New York University and Bellevue Hospital. She has participated in several local and international outreach programs to Kathmandu, Nepal, Sololá, Guatemala, Machias, Maine, and Poughkeepsie, NY to provide dental care to children in need.
When not in the office, Dr. Lombardi enjoys traveling, cycling, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and bulldog Chloe.
Dr. Pradipta Mazumder
Dr. Mazumder, or Dr. Prady as his patients call him, was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He is a board eligible orthodontist. He was awarded Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Mazumder completed his post-graduate residency training in Orthodontics specialty at Roseman University of Health Sciences (formerly University of Southern Nevada) in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has also received a Master's in Business Administration. Dr. Mazumder is an Invisalign Certified Preferred Provider. Dr. Mazumder is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Northeastern Society of Orthodontists (NESO), American Dental Association (ADA), Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA) to name a few. He is committed to staying current on the latest advancements in orthodontics in order to provide the best possible care and treatment for his patients. Dr. Mazumder looks forward to helping his patients achieving the smiles that will brin g them confidence and happiness for a lifetime. .
Dr. Mazumder has a passion for music. He likes being outdoors and enjoys any kind of sport. He also enjoys traveling and visiting new places around the world.
Dr. Avani Patel
Dr. Avani Patel was born in Great Britain, but grew up in Toronto, Canada. After completing her undergraduate education at University of Toronto, she attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where she received her degree in dentistry. After dental school, she went to University of Rochester where she earned advanced degree in general dentistry. She also completed a two year dual academic-hospital based residency in Pediatric Dentistry in Rochester.
It is her goal to provide high quality dental care to children in a caring and compassionate way. In her free time Dr. Patel loves to read a good book, travel and try out new restaurants.
